Easy to grow alternative for adding celery flavor in cooking and salads. This European leaf celery is intended for cut-and-come-again use all year. In Italy, leaf celery is one of the herbs (odorini) that are added to the pan at the beginning of cooking a sauce, soup, or main dish. French, Chinese, and Thai cooks all use leaf celery as a flavoring in food. Grab a stem or snip a few leaves at a time to chop into food like parsley.
Our seed grower, Carol Cox, noticed that a high proportion of her plants developed offsets--small plants that formed around the main crown--and thus became perennial. We intend to continue selecting for this helpful trait.300 seeds
