Dry Bean, Pinto

Very fast-maturing and high-yielding strain of a classic. Pintos are such a staple food around here that it's hard to imagine life without them. Pintos cook up fast without soaking and have just the right flavor for refried beans, chili, burritos, and so on. This is the Nodak strain, bred for dry climates and short seasons by the University of North Dakota. Tends to a half-runner habit, more viney than a true bush bean, but not tall as a pole bean. Easy and rewarding. 60 seeds
