True oregano flavor. Much of the oregano seed on the market is a species more like what we know as marjoram, or else varieties bred for flowers. This is the oregano we love in pizza, pasta, Mexican food, and so on. Not hard to start, but tamp the surface of your pots or flats well before stewing the tiny seed and firming it in, as it is easy to bury the tiny seeds too deep. Perennial in any well-drained soil.
