A classic. Easy and fast red beet with strong, healthy tops. Takes off fast in cool spring soil. Tender, with good flavor, and bright red color. This heirloom is still a home garden and farmers market favorite. Tops have great resistance to foliar disease and make a good chard-like cooking green. Faster from seed to table, but not as long-storing as slower-growing types. However, unless you are root-cellaring these, it won't matter much. 55 days.
