A mix of annual herbs especially formulated to fight pests and increase flavorful essential oils (terpenes) as a summer companion to larger plants. Attracts predator insects that eat thrips, mites, and budworms. You can plant directly into your garden beds or grow bags, (or nearby,) after large plants are already in. These annual herbs leave the ground ready to dig next season. (No permanent roots or woody stems.) The growers testing this report:

  • healthy fragrant plants without chemicals
  • greatly reduced thrips, mites and aphids
  • easy to walk on at harvest without tripping or tangling
  • doesn't support powdery mildew
  • visibly increased pollinator and predator populations
  • edible, useful crops to use all summer

Maximum height 12" for the main plants, 18" for some flower stalks. Contains several kinds of basil as well as summer savory, baby-blue-eyes, and alyssum. We suggest this as a summer understory instead of clover (which can attract thrips.)

Packet contains 1/4 oz, at least 2000 seeds, and covers 100 sq ft or ten 36" growbags. Put the seeds into a bowl with 2 cups soil and mix well. Level and flatten the soil surface, and sprinkle 1 TBSP of the mixture for every 10 sq ft, (or every tub, bag, or container.) Cover very lightly and keep watered.
