Bronze Goldring Romaine Lettuce
Crunchy, sweet, and early--widely considered the best-tasting lettuce of all. Bright green, shiny, healthy romaine with a slight blush of bronze. The bronze/red coloration generally gives lettuces more cold and disease resistance, and that is true here. These bronzed, very sweet and tasty romaines were developed in the area around Bath, England, and are known there as "Bath Cos" types. The leaves are cupped, making perfect boats for salads. English heirloom, grown by Shoulder-to-Shoulder Farm.
Also known as Brown Golding or Goldring. (The color we now call bronze was called brown in the 1800's.) I don't want anyone to miss this great-tasting lettuce because of a word, so I've updated it. 300 seeds
