Hungarian Pink Winter Butterhead Lettuce

A customer favorite. Buttery texture and fine flavor that belie it's ability to withstand a lot of cold. This butterhead is one of the most beautiful lettuces we've ever seen, like a green and pink rose. Great for salad mix as well, breaking up into many small leaves. All lettuces are cold-hardy as young seedlings, but most do not keep the hardiness as they mature. Northern European farmers bred winter lettuces like this over centuries of selection for winter food.Best for winter, spring and fall crops, but has better heat-resistance than we expected.  300 seeds
