Delicious green onions for salad, stir-fry, soups, sandwiches, and garnish. Expensive in the market, but easy to grow, taking little space. These non-bulbing onions can be grown as an annual crop, or they may be managed as a perennial, forming clusters around the mother plants that can be dug as needed. One of the best cooks I know uses chopped green onions at the end of cooking or as garnish. It adds a note of freshness and a restaurant finish to savory dishes. If you only have a little space, or you want something easy from the garden year-round, plant these. Especially appreciated in spring, when stored onions and garlic have gone by and the new harvest isn't in. These fresh little onions are a boost to any meal. Also known as Welsh onion. 200 seeds.
