Favorite old-fashioned flower for spring and fall. Lacy foliage makes it an excellent companion for vegetables, as it doesn't shade them. This Mediterranean native reseeds reliably, but is not invasive--the best sort of annual. Outstanding in bouquets and in sun to part shade in the garden. Some people use it as a control on symphylans (a pest that eats roots). Edible flower and seeds. Good source of nectar for bees and beneficials.
