Four Fresh Sisters
A modern home-garden take on the Three Sisters grown by North American native peoples for centuries. In this version, the corn, beans, and squash are all for fresh eating. Contains a sweet corn; a snap bean, a summer squash, and a forth sister--zinnias, a favorite flower that is also a pest-fighting companion plant.
How-to:We suggest planting the corn in hills 5 feet apart, with 3-4 seeds per hill. When the corn plants are 8" high, plant a bean seed 3" from each corn sprout. When the beans sprout, plant the squash in hills 3 feet from the corn, with 2 seeds per hill. This will give you a beautiful garden that makes the most of space and works synergistically. The zinnias may be planted at the edges or at the same time as the squash and 2' away. Contains 4 full-sizeseed packets.
