Fall to Winter Salad Collection

Lettuce is by nature a spring crop, but farmers over the years have selected lettuces for fall and winter growing--like the Bronze Arrow lettuce in our photo, rimmed by frost that would kill other lettuce. These sprout more readily during the shortening fall days than other lettuce, They are more resistant to cold. And they have better resistance to disease, which becomes an issue in wet weather or in a greenhouse. This collection contains proven winter performers--3 lettuces, and two other salad greens that are even more cold-hardy. 5 packets in a larger envelope.
