For those who prefer a mix with no grasses or grains, this is a great way to build soil. In places where the grassy appearance of wheat and other cover crops would be objectionable, this mix makes a lush green cushion about 2 feet tall, that blooms in mid spring, feeding bees and beneficials. Freezes out at about 15 degrees (depending on duration at that temperature,) so it can be an overwintering mix in zones 8-10, and either a winter-killed mulch or a spring-sown mix in colder climates

Try combining this with Bee's Friend, Poppies, and other fall-sown flowering covers for an even longer, more colorful show. 1 oz packet covers 100 sq ft.
