Clover and Poppies Mix
A beautiful mix that is easier to plant than most native wildflowers, provides a long, colorful show, attracts pollinators, and improves the soil. We have combined the soil-enriching, nitrogen-fixing ability of clover (pink and red, mid spring to summer) with the tap-rooted soil-holding ability and beneficial insect habitat of poppies and native wildflowers. (Lavender, blue, red, and gold in early spring to summer.) For a long display all summer,it will need some water, either from rain or irrigation. In dry-summer climates it will finish up in June if you don't water. All of the flowers are annuals, so you don't have a battle on your hands if you want something else in that spot next year. If you prefer it to self-sow for a yearly display, do not cut or mow until seeds are mature. 1/2 oz covers 100 sq ft.
