Astro Arugula
Broad, tender succulent leaves with excellent flavor for salads or for market. This is arugula mild and juicy enough that you can use lots in salad or cooking. It's fast-growing and very vigorous, making usable baby leaves in about 3 weeks. Leaves are thick and juicy, almost like a spinach leaf in texture. They remain tender and non-bitter (though spicier of course) at large bunching size. Don't overlook arugula as a cooking green--it is great lightly sauteed and tossed with pasta. Like all arugula, the flowers are also edible, though the plant gets stronger and tougher as it goes into flower. Beneficial insects, bees, and even butterflies love the flowers too. For leaves all summer, plant every couple of weeks, and sow in shade (to the north or east of tall plants like corn or tomatoes) once the soil gets hot. 200 seeds
