Descended from the beloved French heirloom Marvel of Four Seasons, with greatly increased resistance to disease, heat and bolting. Leaves have a tender, silky texture and outstanding sweet flavor. Softball-size green heads with bronze blush. Textured leaves hold dressing well, too. A workhorse in the garden that is delicate and refined at the table. Local customers showed me some gorgeous heads grown both in the open and under cover. These can get quite large and make a substantial head that remains tender and mild. 300 seeds
