Estate Tomato
A tomato that stands up to both heat and cold, with a sweet, full tomato flavor. Tremendous resistance to stress; I had some in small pots that survived heat, uneven watering, drought, and wildfire smoke and still produced uncannily uniform, cosmetically perfect fruit with good flavor. (Not as many as they would have under good conditions, but still, what they did produce was perfect.) Fruit is very round, very red, very juicy, and 3" to 3 1/2" across--a great salad tomato. Market growers have asked me for a non-hybrid main season tomato with the crack-resistance, uniformity, and glossy red, round appearance that they need for market, coupled with heat-tolerance and good flavor. Estate is the one I suggest. Indeterminate vines to 7'. An OSSI-pledged open source variety from Frank Morton, who grew this seed. 20 seeds.
