Beautiful addition to the permanent landscape. Drought-tolerant, cold-tolerant, low-maintenance, and one of the best pollinator plants--this has become a garden classic for a reason. Butterflies and beneficial insects both love it. Perfect companion plant for roses, looks good all season. The Grey-green foliage and lavender flowers make it a good landscape substitute for lavender in climates that are too cold or wet for lavender to thrive. (the leaves do not smell like lavender, but more like catnip--a nice herby smell but not interchangable with lavender.) Will bloom first year from seed if started indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Long bloom time, and will bloom two or three times in a season if it is cut back as soon as flowers start to fade. 100 seeds
