Rosita Brandywine Cherry Tomato
The pink color and luscious flavor of the beloved heirloom tomato in a bite-size package. Small determinate plants are perfect for containers and easy in the garden. They are like a little bush completely covered with fruit. All of the tomatoes shown--and that is an immense salad bowl holding well over a hundred fruit--came from one plant. One of the first releases from a collaborative breeding program organized by seedsman Steve Peters and longtime tomato breeder Kanti Rawal, involving growers around California. Their goal is to breed open-pollinated "Heirlooms of Tomorrow," with the easy culture, managable size, and high yields of modern tomatoes added to the superior flavors and textures of traditional heirlooms. All of their work is done by traditional breeding and is in the public domain, with gardeners invited to save seed and adapt it to their own region. Like other determinates, these are best sown in two or three waves for continuous production. 20 seeds
