Heirloom Tibetan barley, grown on the Himalayan plateau for over 3500 years, and bred for the unusual "hulless" characteristic. The hulls fall off easily making it perfect for home gardeners who want to produce their own grain. The unique color is unlike either the brown or the purple varieties. In Tibet, it is used for bread, porridge, animal fodder, and fermentation. Grown by Ellen Bartholomew at Golden Rule Garden. 120 seeds.
