Annual Sweet William

One of the best traditional cottage garden flowers, Sweet William is also a butterfly favorite. The problem has always been that most strains were biennial, and you had to overwinter the plants before they would flower. No more! This Hollandia Crown mix flowers the first year from seed, with all the beauty, scent, vase life, and pollinator joy that has made Sweet William a favorite for centuries. Each flower cluster is a bouquet in itself, standing straight on a strong stems from the basal leaves. Try them in containers, or in the herb garden, where they really pop against the background of foliage. Or anywhere you want butterflies.
