Drought-tolerant sun lover, with a low mounding habit that fits most anywhere. Edible flowers are fragrant and draw pollinators. A butterfly and beneficial insect magnet. Dense clusters of small, white, pink or purple flowers start early and bloom all summer. A brassica-family plant, like alyssum. The two have similar size and uses, but Alyssum loves damp semi-shade, while Candytuft, which has much showier flowers, loves sun and heat.
