Rosita Eggplant
After supply problems last year, we have this packed and on hand now. At last, an eggplant that's easy to grow but has the mild flavor and creamy texture I love. Rosita has creamy bitterfree flesh, and tender skin you don't need to peel. The seeds don't form for a long time so the eggplants stay tender and mild-flavored for longer. Rosita is our new go-to for really superior flavor and texture in spite of our challenging conditions. And look at that gorgeous color! In between pink and purple, with a warm glow, it's a joy to look at. You might want to put a couple in tubs on the patio, which is a great way to grow eggplant in places where cold soil, gophers, or cold nights are problems. The thermal mass from a house or cement patio helps. A Caribbean heirloom brought to the US in the 1940's, and just now getting the recognition it deserves. 30 seeds
