A beloved cottage garden heirloom that attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and beneficials. Hummingbirds go crazy for the bright red flowers that bloom for a long period in summer. When I say bright red, I mean it--photos really can't show the glowing splendor of this color. This is that rare thing, a perennial that's easy to grow from seed, with no long wait, no cold-conditioning, and no fuss. Easy in regular garden soil, moderate water, and full sun to part shade. This has been in our Perennial Butterfly Plant collection for years, and if we had a hummingbird collection, it would be there. 50 seeds
