A beautiful native wildflower that is an important food for monarch butterflies. Lovely rose-pink flowers at the top of 4' stalks. Perfect in a pollinator border, in rain gardens or bioswales, or even under a downspout by your house. Perennial in zones 3-9. Native to the eastern and central US. Also known as Swamp Milkweed but it doesn't actually need a swamp, just regular garden soil, though it will certainly cope well with wet areas and flooding as well.
