Italian Red Grape Tomato
The only heirloom grape tomato I know of. Oval, firm, flavorful fruits form in heavy clusters all over the plant. The traditional tomato flavor is intense and has been known to bring tears to the eyes of those who had Italian grandparents. This one is determinate--another unusual trait in small tomatoes--and produces heavily in one or two waves, then quits. A great variety for drying or freezing--you can freeze the little fruits whole on a cookie sheet and then pour into a bag to store in the freezer. Because they freeze as separate fruits, you can use as many at a time as you wish. To have tomatoes all summer, use this as your first crop before a later variety, or just make two or 3 plantings 2 or 3 weeks apart. Perfect for containers. Our seed is from Italy. 25 seeds per packet.
